My treatment was a year and a half and still to this day (3 years later) he can still answer my questions and doubts.
He is an excellent friend an extraordinary professional on what he does.

Traditional Braces - Metal braces are the most common type of braces.
These are more comfortable today than ever before!
Metal brackets are made of high-grade stainless steel and straighten your teeth using archwires.
You also have the option of adding colored elastics for a more unique and colorful smile.
Dr. Torres uses American Orthodontics metal brackets.
Ceramic/Clear Braces - This more aesthetically pleasing option uses braces made of clear materials that are less visible on your teeth.
They are less prominent but require more attention to detail because the ceramic is more brittle than their metal counterparts.

Life With Braces
Report
Your braces will be attached quickly and easily to your teeth.
It is a good idea to wait several hours after getting braces before eating solid food.
You may find it easier to eat soft foods for the first couple of days while you are becoming accustomed to eating with your new braces.
The braces may feel a little awkward at first and the teeth may be tender or sensitive to pressure.
This is completely normal and will go away soon.
It may feel as though the braces are "sticking out, " but this sensation will also soon pass.

Oral Hygiene
Report
Now that you have braces, your teeth are more difficult to clean, so you have to be very careful to keep those new braces clean.
You should brush your teeth properly after every meal and snack.
Always keep your toothbrush handy, you should even be brushing at school or work after lunch.
You will also need to replace your toothbrush more often since the braces will make it wear out quicker.
Dr. Torres recommends using a Sonicare toothbrush to properly clean your new braces.
Brush the outside of your teeth using small circular motions, making sure to include the outside of your the back teeth too.
