Our philosophy is simple. Provide the best orthodontic treatment possible, in a friendly caring atmosphere, at an affordable cost. We are not a corporate clinic style practice. We have a small dedicated staff with an average work experience of over twenty years in our office. McCallum Orthodontics was started in 1966 by Dr. Ed McCallum and Dr. Ernest joined the practice in 1995.
Dr. McCallum sees every patient, every appointment, and is always available to update parents on treatment progress. We pride ourselves by giving back to the community that has supported us for over 50 years, by assisting local sports, charities, schools, and other community events. We offer a full range of Orthodontic therapy including traditional braces, ceramic braces, and Clear Aligners.
We utilize digital radiography, intraoral scanning, and 3D printing for the most up to date treatment options. Every patient has access to our emergency contact numbers in case there is ever an after hours problem. We want your orthodontic experience to be as pleasant as possible.

First Visit
Report
We will expose a digital full mouth x-ray unless your dentist has provided a current one.
After a thorough examination of your teeth and bite, Dr. McCallum will give you a detailed explanation of his findings and what treatment may be necessary.
A treatment coordinator will explain appointments, insurance, payment options, and any other aspects of your treatment.
We encourage you to ask questions.
Our goal is that you leave our office knowing what treatment is needed, how the treatment will be accomplished, how long it will take, what to do next, and how much it will cost.

Retention
Report
We understand that one of the most difficult aspects of orthodontic treatment is keeping teeth straight after the braces are completed.
Having treated cases for over forty years, we understand retention very well.
We are convinced that fixed retainers are the best way to insure that teeth stay straight.
Many of our patient's parents were patients in our office.
Therefore, we have had the opportunity to review treatment results for twenty and thirty years after treatment was completed!
We use the belt and suspender technique.

Adult Treatment
Report
About twenty five percent of our patients are adults.
Many adults did not have the opportunity to have braces as a teen and have always wanted a better smile.
Most are pleasantly surprised when they see how small modern braces can be, when compared to what they remember as a teen.
Some adults have had braces in the past, but, retainers are long gone, and teeth have shifted over the years.
This is especially true of lower front teeth.
Many of these cases are treated quickly, with a limited appliance, and a fixed retainer to keep the teeth straight.
