After a comprehensive examination, Dr. Meng personally determines the most appropriate treatment option. We also provide a complimentary evaluation upon request.

We understand that parents have many questions about Early Orthodontic Treatment, often called Phase I, and we approach each case with care and conservatism. Following the American Association of Orthodontists guidance, we evaluate children by age seven to assess developing concerns. During key growth years, we can guide jaw development, support proper eruption of permanent teeth, and enhance overall oral health. When appropriate, this early phase improves bite function, alignment, and confidence while reducing potential risks to protruding front teeth. If treatment is not yet indicated, we monitor growth through our complimentary Future Stars Program.

We want our patients to understand that broken or missing appliances can extend the length of orthodontic treatment. Certain hard and sticky foods may bend wires, loosen bands, or damage brackets, while sugary items can negatively affect teeth and gums. We advise avoiding foods such as nuts, ice, popcorn kernels, taffy, caramels, and gummy candies. When consuming firmer foods like apples or carrots, they should be cut into small pieces, and proper brushing or rinsing should follow any sugary intake.
